We are devastated to hear that Olivia Newton-John lost her battle with breast cancer after 30 years, diagnosed at the young age of 43. This sad news reinforces the ABCC’s mission to increase awareness to enable early detection of breast cancer symptoms and improve access to MRI and genetic testing, especially in younger age groups (<50).

“23% of women diagnosed with breast cancer are under 50 years old.”

The Australian Breast Care Centre works with women to increase awareness for early detection, widen access to genetic testing and MRI screening, and improve surgical practice to consider reconstructive and aesthetic outcomes.

Our deepest condolences are with Olivia’s family and friends.
